Pole Dance Enthusiasts Return to the Washington, DC / Baltimore Metro Area for May 31-June 2 International Pole Convention

More than 1,500 pole dancers, including people of all genders, all ages, backgrounds, and body shapes return for the 13th annual International Pole Convention—or simply “PoleCon”—at the Maryland Live! Hotel and Casino May 31-June 2, 2024!
“We had such a great time at Maryland Live! Last year we just had to come back,” PoleCon CEO Colleen Jolly noted. “We’re so excited to return to such an awesome venue to celebrate the growth and diversity of our industry—the sport side, fitness side, art side, theatrical side, and of course, the sexy side—with the DC/Baltimore metro area.”
Pole dancing has gained increasing popularity as a fitness exercise and as mainstream entertainment around the world, being regularly featured in major movies, on TV, and live on tour with headlining musicians.
Open to the public, the convention provides attendees with all-star performances; seminars; workshops with international stars; opportunities for instructor certifications; plenty of time for networking and access to vendors representing the best products and services in pole, fitness, nutrition, wellness, and glamour apparel.
A great way for people to sample what pole dancing has to offer is to buy a ticket to one of the two evening showcases for just $30 each. The “Sexy” showcase is Thursday night starting at 6:30pm and “Black Girls Pole” showcase on Friday night starts at 8pm—both are held in The Hall at Maryland Live!
“PoleCon’s goal is for everyone to see and appreciate the many facets of pole from the club side to those wanting to see pole competed in the Olympics,” Jolly said. “Everyone is welcome at PoleCon!”
The Weekend Pass ($229) provides an entire weekend of access to all events, with the fun kicking off Thursday night. Lunch, included in the cost of admission, is served Friday and Saturday with breakfast on Sunday. Attendees under 18 participate with a parent or guardian at a discounted rate for the entire weekend. See any showcase for just $30. Showcases range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.

Colleen Jolly is an entrepreneur and a pole dance enthusiast. She has been poling for 12 years, is the CEO of PoleCon and the Executive Director of the IPIA. She teaches pole, lyra, floorwork, and mobility online and in-person in the DC metro area.
