1. We’re so excited to have you teach at PoleCon: West this year! Can you tell us a little more about what you’re teaching?
This year at Pole Con I’ll be teaching ‘Kips and Flips’, which are two very powerful elements that I’m passionate about practicing and teaching. I’m especially excited to teach these skills, because they aren’t easily accessible to everyone in pole studios across the country. There’s something really rewarding about helping someone discover that they’re capable of movement they may have never thought they could do. I’m excited to share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained through my own training and help make these dynamic skills more accessible to our community.
2. Is there something that defines your style of teaching or your content that is unique to you?
What makes my content and teaching style unique is the combination of my background in cheerleading and acrobatics. Those disciplines have given me a different set of tools and a strong foundation of movement and body awareness, which I love and find super helpful while teaching others. I feel like I am able to offer a different perspective and approach that you may not see in every pole dancer’s style. As a teacher, I really value detailed cues, thoughtful progressions, and meeting each student where they are. Everyone learns and moves differently, and that’s what makes everyone’s individual style beautifully unique and authentic to them. My goal is to give them the tools and confidence to further explore their own movement and help them discover what they’re truly capable of.
3. What is the one thing you want your students to leave with after taking your workshop?
More than anything, I want my students to leave feeling confident, inspired, and proud of themselves. I hope they surprise themselves by stepping out of their comfort zone and discovering capabilities they may not have realized they had. I also want them to have fun and feel supported and safe throughout the learning process. Trying something new can be intimidating, so creating an environment where students feel encouraged to challenge themselves without pressure is really important to me. I want everyone to leave with something they feel they’ve conquered, whether that’s a new skill, a new perspective, or simply the confidence to keep pushing themselves. I will always ensure that they leave with something exciting they can take home, practice, and continue to build on long after the workshop is over!
4. What are you most excited about for PoleCon: West 2026?
This will be my first year attending Pole Con West, so I’m honestly excited about all the possibilities that weekend could bring! I’m looking forward to making new connections, meeting pole dancers from all over, and getting to see the incredible talent and creativity everyone brings to the community, and getting the opportunity to share my own performance with everyone. Performing and teaching is such a meaningful part of my journey, so doing them both in one weekend means the world to me. I’m also really excited to learn from other instructors and performers and expand my own world of pole. There’s always so much to discover within this art and community, and I LOVE that Pole Con brings together so many different styles, backgrounds while providing a stage where people of all backgrounds, identities, and walks of life can shine and celebrate what makes them unique. And, of course, I’m especially excited to meet my students in person and connect with them throughout the weekend! Getting to share a workshop with people who are excited to learn and explore some of my favorite skills with me is something I’m looking forward to!
