Interview with New PoleCon Instructor: Svitlana Yurchak
We are sitting down to talk to our new instructors for PoleCon 2024! Learn more about them and then click here to purchase their workshop
1. We’re so excited to have you teach at PoleCon this year! Can you tell us a little more about what you’re teaching?
On my WS for PoleCon, I teach the WS which includes my top preparing exercises that I created and improved for myself and my students to get better and faster results in stretching and body control. These exercises focus on isolating and exercising specific muscles, that are usually overlooked, and engaging them into dancing. They help to play with balance, draw the right lines in choreos, and feel the movements better.
2. Is there something that defines your style of teaching or your content that is unique to you?
Most of the tricks I do look physically impossible or extremely difficult to perform. Even for advanced-level pole dancers. I love to experiment with shapes and body lines. I constantly experiment with the Legwork, creating new and improving old FlexyAnkles tricks. Sometimes they look like something out from our universe! But what wonders always for my students after taking a WS is that most of my preparing exercises and tips work immediately and help students to perform the tricks they never thought they could, right after or even during WS!
Can’t wait to share my experience with the students at PoleCon too!
3. What is the one thing you want your students to leave with after taking your workshop?
Some people are naturally more gifted in any kind of bodywork than others, but this does not mean that their level isn’t reachable.
Never compare yourself to others, enjoy your trip, and celebrate your progress no matter how small!
4. What are you most excited about for PoleCon 2024?
What can be more inspiring than meeting so many wonderful and talented people from the pole industry in one place?) Can’t wait!
5. Anything else you want to share with PoleCon attendees?
I am joining PoleCon as a teacher, performer, and sponsor, and I promise to do my best in each of my roles! Wishing everyone good luck and maximum enjoyment from the event!
