Interview with New PoleCon Instructor: Sara and Tylis

We are sitting down to talk to our new instructors for PoleCon 2026! Learn more about them and then click here to purchase their workshop

Sara and Tylis pose 1. We’re so excited to have you teach at PoleCon 2026 this year! Can you tell us a little more about what you’re teaching?

We are beyond excited to be teaching this year at PoleCon 2026! We are teaching what we know best: doubles! Both of us started working together as a duo back in late 2022 with our debut performance in 2023. Since then we’ve both continually grown individually and as a duo as we are constantly striving to learn new tricks and pathways. This workshop is going to dive into some shapes and flows that one could do with a partner. We’re hoping everyone finds the same fun and power as we do when!

2. Is there something that defines your style of teaching or your content that is unique to you?

I feel like the two of us like to blend pole with moves that are also acro inspired! We love to push the envelope and come up with transitions or put two poses together that we haven’t seen before either. We’re always trying to come up with things that are visually interesting or challenging for us!

3. What is the one thing you want your students to leave with after taking your workshop?

We hope everyone that comes to our workshop leaves feeling empowered and open minded to the world of doubles. Even if it’s not for performances. These are moves and transitions anyone could take with them and use with their favorite pole bestie back home! Who doesn’t want some cute shapes and dope transitions on their socials?

4. What are you most excited about for PoleCon 2026?

We can’t wait to meet more polers! We debuted together at our first PoleCon last year in 2025 as part of the Creepy Showcase. Seeing the showcases last year was amazing and we’re looking forward to seeing the showcases this year. Plus we can’t wait to really meet all the amazing instructors and students this year!

5. Anything else you want to share with PoleCon attendees?

If you see us, come say hi!! We love to meet fellow polers (and aerialists for those in the aerial showcase)! We’ll be pretty easy to spot. He’s tall and I’ve got wild colored hair. Can’t wait to see everyone there!
