1. We’re so excited to have you teach at PoleCon 2026 this year! Can you tell us a little more about what you’re teaching?
I’ll be teaching two workshops: Heels Ready and Edgework Mastery.
Heels Ready is a specialised, non-pole conditioning workshop designed to prepare your body to dance in heels with confidence and control. We’ll build a deeper understanding of how to truly use these beautiful pieces of apparatus, focusing on strength, stability, and coordination. Because it’s off the pole, you’ll also learn some gorgeous floorwork that translates seamlessly into your heels movement.
In Edgework Mastery, we’ll be diving deep into my biggest obsession – edgework! Alongside teaching some of my favourite pathways, I’ll break down how edgework works so you can create your own. We’ll explore the difference between rotating on micro-edges versus sliding across the platforms, and how to intentionally choose each one. My goal is for you to leave with the tools and confidence to explore edgework creatively and safely.
2. Is there something that defines your style of teaching or your content that is unique to you?
I’m definitely a bit nerdy, in the best way! I love taking my technical knowledge and translating it into teaching that helps students understand how and why their body moves the way it does. My focus is always on helping dancers create the movement they want in a way that works for their individual body and feels achievable and sustainable.
I’m also very detail-oriented. I break down each nuance of a movement so students leave with a clear understanding of what their body, and their shoes, are actually doing, rather than just copying shapes.
3. What is the one thing you want your students to leave with after taking your workshop?
I want students to leave with a deeper understanding of their heels and edgework technique, and a genuine excitement about continuing to develop it in a way that is sustainable, playful, and body-aware. And of course, I want them to walk away with some cool new moves they can immediately drop into their movement repertoire.
4. What are you most excited about for PoleCon 2026?
Honestly, all of it! It’s a huge honour to be asked to teach two workshops at such a prestigious event, and I can’t wait to share my passion with the PoleCon community.
I’m also really excited to step into student mode where I can, and to watch some absolutely incredible performances.
5. Anything else you want to share with PoleCon attendees?
If you’re curious about heels or edgework, even if it feels intimidating, come and play. My workshops are about exploration, understanding, and finding what works for you. You don’t need to have it all figured out already; just bring your curiosity, your shoes, and an open mind.
