Thank you for being a vendor at PoleCon! Can you tell us a little more about your brand?

Pole Sweets is your one-stop shop for all things alternative fitness, dance, and work. We provide merchandise and virtual classes that allow you to not only express your love for pole and aerials, but progress in your journey. Pole Sweets strives to make dance a safe space for ALL who choose to participate and provide quality products for polers, sex workers, aerialists, and MORE! Some of the products we provide include stickers, pole and aerial progress trackers, car magnets, and more to support the progress of professional pole dancers and circus artists. Is there something that defines your brand that unique to you?

Pole Sweets is a unique pole-based business because we focus on the destigmatization of pole dancing and sex work in society by allowing our customers to express their love of these activities outwardly. We also want to bring the pole hobbyist, circus artist, and sex work communities together for one common goal: feeling empowered by what you love to do, not ashamed!

How do you want people to feel after interacting with your brand?

We want our customers to feel supported, loved, and strengthened by interacting with our brand! We aim to provide a safe space for dancers of all kinds to express themselves without fear of judgment, especially those who are marginalized such as LGBT+, neurodivergent, and plus-sized folks.

Anything else you want to share with PoleCon attendees?

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: In August, we plan to open a small space in Richmond, VA that will allow us to provide small classes and private lessons (Intro to Level 2/3)! We also hope to use the space to host educational workshops including training for aspiring pole instructors and interviews with a diverse group of performance artists. PoleCon attendees can see the amazing interviews we have done so far on our YouTube Channel @shoppolesweets and subscribe for more content.

Colleen Jolly is an entrepreneur and a pole dance enthusiast. She has been poling for 12 years, is the CEO of PoleCon and the Executive Director of the IPIA. She teaches pole, lyra, floorwork, and mobility online and in-person in the DC metro area. She has been active in leadership roles in several international businesses over the past two decades and is also an award-winning pole dancer, artist, writer, and speaker. She is certified in several movement modalities and wrote the book "Mobility for Pole" to help pole dancers move better.
